Following the VIP screening at SCADshow, students from the Savannah College of Art and Design participated in an in-depth Q&A session with the filmmakers behind THE VANISHING. The conversation explored the investigative process, ethical responsibilities in true-crime storytelling, archival research, and the challenges of revisiting an unsolved case decades later. Thoughtful, informed questions from the students led to a meaningful exchange about truth, narrative restraint, and the role of documentary film in keeping unresolved stories in public consciousness. This session reflects the next generation of filmmakers engaging critically with real-world storytelling and its lasting impact.
